Adir Abergel Styles Millie Bobby Brown for Godzilla World Premiere
At the recent world premiere of “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” in Hollywood, CA Millie Bobby Brown walked the red carpet in a punk-inspired top knot created by hairstylist Adir Abergel. The updo had gilded threading climbing up the haнr and connecting into the top knot – which was inspired by early 80’s punk bands. Adir played with layered textures to bring out the youthful spirit of Millie.
Prepping hair was key, as Millie’s hair is chin length and securing it into a top knot wasn’t easy. Adir sprayed Virtue Volumizing Primer from the roots to midshaft on her towel dried hair and followed by Virtue One for All 6-in-1 Styler from the midshaft to ends to help with frizz and shine. Then, he rough dried her hair for about 90% before drying the last 10% of the hair with a medium Ibiza round brush. Adir took the bottom sections of the dried hair by the hairline and wrapped some gold elastic from roots to ends. He repeated that all along the perimeter of the hair and once completed, he pulled the hair up into a high ponytail and secured it with an elastic. Loose hairs were locked in with Kristen Ess Hairspray. The ponytail was then twisted into a punky knot and secured with Bobbi pins. To finish the look Adir added some more gold threading for the extra bling.
