Bath & Body Works India Breaks a Record at VR Chennai
274 women created a “fragrance chain” in Chennai and helped set a new Guinness World Records for “Most participants in a perfume relay application”. The “fragrance relay” held at VR Chennai on 13 July 2019 was conducted by Bath & Body Works and its exclusive Indian Franchise Partner, Major Brands India. The speciality retailers of fragrant products for bath, body, and home, used their signature fragrance mists to help set the record. Actress Hansika Motwani kicked off the relay and was a part of the unique record attempt. Swapnil Dangarikar – Official Adjudicator (Guinness Spokesperson) and Abhishek Bajpai – Vice President of Major Brands India Pvt. Ltd were also present at the event.
Expressing her excitement, Hansika Motwani said, “It was such an honour to create a new Guinness World Records with Bath and Body Works and that too in my favourite city, Chennai. Was fun interacting with my fans who are always there to shower me with their love”
Speaking about the event, Tushar Ved – President of Major Brands India Pvt. Ltd said, “It is wonderful to have achieved the Guinness World Records Title in India for Bath and Body Works. We are proud of this achievement and overwhelmed by the response from Chennai. While it was exciting for us to execute this in association with VR Chennai, it’s been even more fulfilling to witness hundreds of women participating in the relay.”
The event coincided with the opening of the second Bath and Body Works store in South India at VR Chennai. This is the seventh Bath and Body Works store in the country. Hallmark fragrance collections from the brand like Japanese Cherry Blossom and A Thousand Wishes will be available at the store. The VR Chennai store will be spread over 1300 sq. feet that will allow customers to explore an extensive array of fragrances for the bath, body, and home.
