Winners announced at a Glittering Award Ceremony

The premium Indian vegan Make -Up brand Lotus Make Up hosted the first edition of the Lotus Make-up Artist of the year 2021-2022 at an event held at Hotel Taj Palace in New Delhi recently.With the aim of recognizing and rewarding incredible talent and innovation, Lotus Make-up Awarded the top 3 budding make-up artists from India. In December 2021 Lotus Make-up organized a digital contest calling various make-up artists across India to share the look for the last wedding season along with the look for the new year.

The brand received over 5300 registrations for the same and over 4000 looks were shared across social media platforms. From all the entries 15 make-up artists from across India were chosen by a select jury in January 2022 and the finalists were invited to showcase their look at this make-up extravaganza. Commenting on the Awards, Mr.Nitin Passi, Chairman, and Managing Director, Lotus Herbals said, “The Lotus Make-up artist of the year is a momentous occasion since this initiative reinforces our
commitment to recognize and reward budding make-up artists from across the country. We were the first Indian brand to introduce a range of 100% vegetarian and natural color cosmetics and I am delighted that this first edition of the awards takes us a step further to discover new talent and create a platform where makeup artists from across the country can showcase their skills.

Celebrity make-up artist Chandni Singh adds, “ I am honored to be a judge at the first edition of the Lotus Make-up Artist of the Year since this initiative marks a new milestone for make-up artists across the country. Lotus make-up is a brand that is synonymous with clean ethical and natural make-up products and I use them frequently to create stunning make-up looks.” The grand finale of the Lotus Make-up artist of the year commenced with a masterclass by celebrity make-up artist Chandni Singh who showcased the finer nuances of bridal makeup.

Keeping the current trends of minimalism in mind she created a soft look for contemporary urban women while adding definition with eyeliner and mascara. The 15 finalists showed their make-up expertise by curating trendy looks for the upcoming wedding season. The makeup looks were complemented by beautiful wedding
attire from designer Sanchita Hazra. After the judges viewed all the contestants, the Awards to the three lucky winners were handed over by Mr. S.P. Maitra, President Sales Lotus Herbals, celebrity Make-Up Artist Chandni Singh and Dr.Ipsita Chatterjee, Head Innovation and Brand Strategy, Lotus Herbals.

The first prize was won by Ashmeet Kaur Saini from New Delhi and a cash prize of Rs 1, 00,000, Lotus Make-up Products worth Rs. 20,000 and an Association with Lotus Make-up for 1 year. The Award for the first runner-up went to Kajal Jain from Gurugram who was awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000, Lotus Makeup Products worth Rs.15,000 and an Association with Lotus Make-up for 1 year. The Award for the second runner-up was given to Shweta Singh from Bengaluru with a cash prize of Rs 25,000 and Lotus Makeup Products worth Rs.10,000 and an association with Lotus Make-up for 1 year.

The ‘Lotus Make-up Artist of the year 2021-2022 is a celebration of talented young Make-up artists from across India who promise to make a mark in the industry.
