#WomanAcheiver: Anupamaa Dayal
Anupamaa Dayal’s nomadic childhood created a high level of cultural osmosis and expression, drawn to nature, global gypsies, folklore, and raw beauty anywhere. While all that she creates is rooted in the Indian Spirit and created uniquely with ancient printing techniques, there is a bold lightness to them. She likes to set women fearlessly free to pursue their goals. Anupamaa is about happy clothes and happy homes for happy women.
2019 Goals: This has been an important year for me professionally. After 15 years of running the brand, I was a little listless. I was a little spoilt with the continued easy journey of the brand thus far. When the economic slump of the last few years came, my reaction was to run. Instead, I am now firmly in the driver’s seat on the growth path of my brand. My goal is not just to stabilize but also to look at new markets, new products, and new ways of doing business.
Personally, I remain committed to self-improvement. I learn new things to add to my diet and physical activity regime. I work at enjoying every experience to its deepest, I enjoy sharing and I will continue to share all that I have learnt or own.
Feminism to Me: Feminism to me is a bond and pledge. Bond that I am part of a half of humanity, which has suffered, but has infinite potential. Pledge that I will play my part in being sympathetic, empathetic and help in the collective unfurling of this enormous potential.
Cult Products: I am not a jars and pots person. I use Virgin Kerala coconut oil for almost every skin need. My make-up favourites are Touché Éclat from YSL, learnt from the French part of my life and Studio Fix from M.A.C., used almost everyday.
