India wins Medallion in Hairdressing at World Skill Spl. Edition
Indian sector skill council for beauty & wellness, B&WSSC participated in the category of Hair Dressing Skill at the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition that recently took place in Helsinki, Finland.
Charmi Sen, represented India for WorldSkills Competition 2022 & won a Medallion of Excellence.
Charmi was trained and mentored by Hair Dressing Aces like Samantha Kochhar.
Says Samantha about Charmi’s success “I am so proud of Charmi Sen for having won the medallion for excellence at the Worldskills 2022 competition.
Her work was excellent. She showed the world that India is on par with the rest of the world.”
Adds Monica Bahl, CEO, B&WSSC, “B&WSSC facilitated the entire 2 year long process of selection of the competitors for the Hair Dressing Skill, starting from the district level, to the State level to the Regionals & then finally at the National level. The top 3 National finalists were then trained through B&WSSC under the guidance of Samantha Kochhar with various well known celebrity names of Indian Hair Dressing Industry along with training at L’ORÉAL.”
B&WSSC Chairperson, Dr Blossom Kochhar, along with B&WSSC CEO- Monica Bahl also motivated & mentored the competitors on a fortnightly basis. Besides, B&WSSC Industry Members are said to have provided unconditional support & encouragement to Indian competitors.
WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition is the official replacement for WorldSkills Shanghai 2022, cancelled in May due to the pandemic. It entails 62 skill competitions being held over 12 weeks in 15 countries and regions between 7 September and 26 November 2022.
