Festive Fervour: Try these Top Trends in Festive Makeup
It’s time to upgrade your basic make-up routine and these looks will help you be ready for the festive season.
As the festivities approach, we’re sure you’re done with the no make-up attitude of the past few months of lockdown. This is the season to glam up your beauty routine and get inspired by the latest beauty trends to try out. Get your make-up kits and brushes ready as Stafford Braganza, National Make-up Artist & Technical Trainer, L’Oréal Paris, India shares some quick and easy trends to wow the festive look!
Go Natural
First, it is recommended to look at skin enhancing and hydration. Opt for the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Crystal Micro Essence.
Next, prep your face with a good primer, which really helps keep the make-up on for a longer time.
To maintain a natural look, you can skip the foundation and use a highly pigmented concealer, (try L’Oréal Paris Infallible Concealer) as it helps cover dark circles, pigmentation and any uneven skin tone.
For the eyes, you can use subtle tones of browns and rust to give them a fuller look. Also, keep your eye shape in mind when choosing colours, dark colours close & lighter colours opens the eye. Apply some eyeshadow under your lash line to really bring out the look. Finish that off with a volume-enhancing mascara.
Next, add a flush of colour to those cheeks by applying a bit of rouge, which will instantly warm up your complexion and create the illusion of high cheekbones.
Lastly, I would suggest adding a little colour to your look with a pink or red lipstick.

Glam & Glitter
When the mood is all about glitter, make sure you match your outfit with your beauty look! For this style, I would recommend doing your base make-up well. Add on your foundation that suits your skin tone and use a concealer on the under eyes and around the lip area, wherever you need to camouflage your skin.
Now comes my favourite part, you can go a little extra with the blush on your cheeks while amping up the ante and highlighting those cheek and brow bones. Besides, there’s no such thing as too much highlighter!
A smattering of gold glitter on bare eyelids looks instantly festive. Sharp brows, glitter eyes and a soft tone lip colour is the most classic make-up look of all time and remember not to miss out on the mascara, as it helps you define your eyes much better.

Let the eyes do the talking!
If you plan to step out of the house to see your dear ones, your mask will be accompanying you all the way, so it is important to let your eyes speak with a bold and trendy look. Start by prepping your skin with a primer. Add on a foundation that suits your skin tone. Go for an elaborate eye make-up like smokey eyes, blending in a dark colour that stands out. Add some definition to your eyes with a gel liner, complement the look with a bold lip or red lipstick.
