Henkel to Host 24Hr Global Digital Hair Festival for Charity

In a celebration of solidarity with the hairdressing industry, Henkel Beauty Care Professional is all set to host ‘Hairdressers United’ – a unique 24hr global online hair festival that is expected to bring together 36 hair artists, from 19 countries for a live stream of educational and
creatively inspiring content. The event being streamed on 5th May 2020 from 13 different time zones will have the experts discussing and demonstrating:

  • Hair Colouring How-To, including blonding, balayage, and blur techniques
  • Cut & Style inspirations, including barber art
  • Updo tutorials, including bridal and braiding trends

Dedicated to the hairdressing industry, Henkel aims to raise funds through user engagement and donations during the live stream, and give back any revenue to the community. As a “never been done before” event, the digital hair festival also aims to set a new Guinness World Records™ title for the “longest online hair education seminar streamed over the internet”.

Hairdressers united will unite all Henkel Beauty Care Professional brands — Schwarzkopf Professional, Authentic Beauty Concept, Joico, Indola, Kenra, Sexy Hair, #MyDentity, Pravana, Alterna — and is set to inspire hair and beauty professionals at all levels and experience.

For Schwarzkopf Professional, participating artists include celebrity stylist and hairdresser Florian Hurel from India, UK Ambassadors Lesley Jennison & Tyler Johnston, USA Ambassador Linh Phan, Brazilian Ambassador Natan Correia, and the Spanish collaborative creative team from X-presion. They will be joined by Authentic Beauty Concept Ambassador, Hester Wernert Rijn, JOICO Ambassador Larisa Love, INDOLA Ambassador Denis Shefel, Kenra Ambassador Lo Wheeler, Sexy Hair Ambassador Antonio Estrada, #MyDentity Co-Creator Guy
Tang, Pravana Ambassador Taylor Rae, and Alterna Ambassador Paul Wintner.

The 24hr event will be hosted at @schwarzkopfpro, across Instagram and Facebook, with YouTube on hand to support creative content during short breaks between live streams. Each hair artist will be live streaming for 45 minutes to demo their specialist area; content will also include information on how viewers can support both the fundraising aspect and world record attempt, as well as a Q&A session.
