IOSIS WELLNESS & THE EASE OF BESMIRCHING NAMES
In what maybe the unfortunate outcome of the media trial in aftermath of Raj Kundra’s investigations by the Mumbai Police, not only has Shilpa Shetty, Kundra’s wife (Bollywood Actor, Yoga & Fitness Expert who had stakes in IOSIS) been at the receiving end of trolls and media trials, all that she has been associated with, has been brought under the scanner, as well. In the Salon & Spa industry IOSIS has established itself as a brand positioned in the the premium category with a pretty consistent professional track record. Kiran Bawa, Chairperson IOSIS Wellness has recently released an online post clarifying the situation of the brand. At Beauté Espace its our responsibility to lay it out as we strongly feel that the industry has suffered its bit through the COVID 19 Pandemic and it’s time that we stand up against dirty mudslinging to tarnish its image, by simply laying out some facts and dates. We have also understood that whilst there maybe bad apples in every industry, the salon & spa businesses are more susceptible to have their names be-smirched and the business getting affected by sometimes just a hint of rumour.
Besides, Shilpa Shetty (whose had a long standing friendship with Kiran Bawa) on her personal Instagram (theShilpaShetty) post put out on 7th July 2020, had shared her official dissociation with IOSIS Wellness saying, “It’s been 10 glorious years having partnered with @iosiswellness to take beauty and wellness across the country. Due to being over-committed with too much on my plate personally and professionally I have decided to sell my stake and am happy to announce that my share in the business has been bought out by my partner, @kiranbawa76. I wish her all the best in taking this wonderful brand to greater heights. Would like to thank all our patrons, franchisees, and staff for their love & continued support”.
Kiran Bawa, Chairperson, IOSIS Wellness, reaffirming her friendship with Shilpa, has gone on to make a public appeal (attached) requesting the media and others to understand that she completely owns this business and as a single mother, it already has been an upward hill to establish and run it and she could do without the aspersions, made in some parts of media and social media, adding to her challenges. IOSIS Wellness was founded in October 2008 and has 10 operational centres across India.
