Shahnaz Husain Receives ASSOCHAM Women Achiever Award
ASSOCHAM Women Achievers Award 2019 was presented at the Women Leadership & Empowerment Summit, recently at Hotel Imperial in New Delhi. Smriti Irani – Union Minister for Textiles and Women & Child Development, was the Chief Guest at the event held to recognize and celebrate outstanding leadership and achievements demonstrated by women through innovations and contributions in various fields. ASSOCHAM upholds that every woman has the ability to lead and create positive change. Shahnaz Husain received the “Best Business Woman of the Year” Award in the Beauty & Wellness sector from Smriti Irani.
Adding to her pioneering work in the beauty industry, Shahnaz Husain also met UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson at a Reception and Dinner held recently in London, to celebrate India – UK relations. Shahnaz Husain has extended her base in London and is a regular visitor. She had a discussion with Boris Johnson, of whom she is an ardent admirer, on the scope of cultural industries, like Ayurveda, and alternative medicine in economic development and trade. According to press reports, the UK and India are ready to forge an “ambitious new trading relationship”. Shahnaz is convinced that India must and will lead the international cosmetic market with Ayurvedic plant power.
